I listened to this song just this morning. Shame on me because this OST was released, probably, weeks ago and I just listened to it now. I have not even seen the music video/recording of this one either. I've only seen it on gif sets.
And as I was listening to it, I couldn't help but cried. As in, really cried. It's not even a sad song, but it pained my heart too much that tears just kept on flowing from my eyes. I hated it because it made me sad. The song makes me sad. It makes me recall each scene from the drama, Reply 1994, the friendship, the bond, the family, the losses, the first loves and true loves, the disappointments, realizations, dreams, everything is nostalgic. I felt like I was part of their boarding house, like I lived with them somehow and now we've come to the point where we have to bid our goodbyes because we have to grow up and start our own lives. I feel empty, and lonely. Reply has got to be the best ensemble cast of 2013. Everyone was perfect for their roles, especially the boys. I will miss Trash, Haitai, Binggrae, Chilbong, Samcheonpo, even their Dad. I will miss Na Jeong, Yoon Jin and Mom. I will miss everyone that became a part of Reply.
We're down to the final two episodes and the whole who-is-her-husband mystery will finally come to an end. I know Trash is the main lead but I'm still skeptical if he's also the husband. I believe the writers will keep on trolling until the last episode. On E18, their wedding got postponed because Na Jeong has to leave the country for work and I like that they get tested with this kind of problem because come on, who want cliche, stupid, dramatic conflicts? I like Reply fro being SO realistic. That's its charm, actually. Trash didn't agree to it at first and Na Joeng hated it. How could Trash not understand and even belittle her and her job? But thank God they didn't break up because of that. They, eventually, agreed to wait until Na Jeong comes back.
But thanks to tvn, the episode went crazy and kept on showing wrong scenes. If I was in Korea and watching it live, I would freak out. It was maddening how the broadcast station went wrong like that. Now, it's so hard to find proper subs for the end part, seems like the subbers got mad too and decided not to sub that anymore. All I know in the end part is that they're now on year 1999, so two years after. Na Jeong is back to the boarding house, it is December 31, 1999, meaning it's the date they promised to gather two years ago to witness the 'millenium'. Mom and Dad went out. Samcheonpo and Yoo Jin went on a date. Binggrae went to meet his sunbae/girlfriend. Seems like no one remembers the promise. No trace of Trash and Chilbong in the house.
Later that day, the New Year's Eve, in the place they promised to gather, Na Jeong is there. Little did she know, someone has also remembered the promise. Chilbong. The man who loved her two years ago, and probably still loves her now.
